Quran text & mushaf layout
- Uthmani script & translations — fetched from Al Quran Cloud API and bundled offline surah data for reading without internet.
- Mushaf page layout — KFGQPC V2 Madani print map (1421H, 15 lines per page) used for page-by-page mushaf display. Layout data is used for accurate line placement consistent with the standard printed mushaf.
- Tajweed markup — displayed when enabled; sourced from bundled/API Quran editions that include tajweed color markup.
Quran text is provided for worship and personal study. The App does not claim copyright over the Holy Quran. Translations retain attribution to their respective translators and publishers as provided by the API.
Audio recitation
Quran recitation audio is streamed from licensed editions available through Al Quran Cloud and similar providers. Audio is not re-hosted for commercial resale. Offline caching, where supported, follows the provider’s terms.
Prayer times
Prayer schedules are calculated using the Aladhan Prayer Times API. Calculation methods and madhab settings are user-configurable within the App.
Original app content
The following are original to Muslim Journey and owned by the developer:
- App design, UI, and user experience
- Journey reflections, vocabulary, and original educational copy
- App icon, branding, and marketing materials
User-generated content
Bookmarks, custom bookmark names, and Journey journal entries are created by you and stored on your device (and optionally in your cloud account if you sign in). You retain ownership of your personal notes.
